Kefelen has been with us for 4 months. In a way it seems like we just met, in another way it seems like he has always been with us. The impact he has had on our lives is difficult to explain. He is an amazing little guy, full of joy and curiosity and humor. He wakes up every morning ready for an adventure and falls asleep every night with a smile on his cherubic little face.
Kefelen has grown almost 3 inches and gained at least 5 pounds since he came home. His English is approaching fluent and in the past month or so he has begun creating more complex sentences. He has huge hands and feet and we think he will soon be towering over us. Kefelen loves music and wants to listen to it at every chance he gets. He likes to bang on "drums" made out of pans, play the keyboard and strum Mom's guitar. He also loves to play "cooking". He enjoys doing art projects and swims like a fish. He is quite the little helper and has taken on the job of feeding the kitties every single day. He loves Elmo and the movie Cars and especially Zaboomafoo. Firetrucks and schoolbuses rock his world and he is cruising on his bike like a little pro.
Kefelen has bonded with both his mommy and his daddy and has made a number of friends. He loves his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He even likes the dog and is beginning to approach other dogs without crying and climbing up our legs. He loves to be read to and his very favorite book is "The Snuggliest Snuggle in the World" and recently has begun to enjoy Curious George.
Overall Kefelen is a happy, well-adjusted kid and we couldn't ask for anything more. Mitch and I are completely smitten and we look forward to every day just to see what he will do next.
