Today was our first full day home and everything went very smoothly. Right now I can hear Mitch snoring in our room and Kefelen snoring in his room. Like father like son, right? It's 8 pm and jetlag is knocking on my door, but I wanted to post a few things first. Our trip was amazing. The people of Ethiopia are caring, kind, loving and polite. They love their children and Kefelen had no lack of affection while he was there. We were sad to leave such a beautiful country. We will definitely return. Kefelen is a dream. He giggles and plays and eats vegetables and tells us when he has to use the bathroom (shuma). He shows and accepts affection and he is adjusting incredibly well...and he's so dang cute.
I promise to post much more information and many more pictures but for now here's one of the happy family. It was taken on the day we met our darling little son. The other picture is of Kefelen in his Ethiopian clothing during the goodbye celebration at the care center. It was taken the day we took custody of him.
