Mitch vs. The Androgynous Long-Haired Security Guard

So we traveled to the great stripmall housed in the hell hole that is the midway of St. Paul to undergo biometric fingerprinting by immigration services. First of all, we have passports and licenses...obviously we are citizens. Why do they need our fingerprints to bring a child into the US? Secondly, and more importantly, we have already been fingerprinted twice during the process. Ugh. So, we show up to the strip mall that houses the immigration satellite center and are greeted by windows and doors covered in what looks like a conglomeration of construction and parchment paper. What the hell, can't the government afford some blinds or curtains? Savers always has used curtains for a buck. Anyway, we walk inside and the manly woman security guard is having herself a nice little chat with some guy looking for a job. Mitch, thinking it rude that she is having a personal conversation, approaches the long-haired beast only to be confronted with a hand, palm out, and the words "I'll be with you in a moment." Apparently the yeddi has had her fill of pedestrians seeking the help of immigration services. I could see Mitch stifling his desire to tell her that we are paying customers and without us she would have niether a metal desk to sit behind nor a shining security badge, but he bit his tongue and waited patiently. The rest was easy. We got through...except for my left ring finger which apparently houses an incognito fingerprint. I may be called back for verification of said fingerprint in several weeks. Can't wait to see what sort of greasy Chewbacca is guarding the gates of the government next time.
